Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, onboard, and develop Product Designers to build a high-performing, motivated, and innovative team.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and enabling them to deliver exceptional design work.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Organize and delegate design work effectively across the team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Create and maintain a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture focused on user-centric design excellence.
Design Strategy and Oversight
- Define and implement the product design strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company’s vision and product roadmap.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
- Set and enforce standards for design quality, usability, and accessibility across all product experiences.
- Stay informed about design trends, tools, and industry best practices, driving innovation and continuous improvement in the team’s design processes.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Technology leaders to ensure alignment between business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Serve as the primary advocate for user-centered design within the organization, ensuring user insights are integrated into the product development process.
- Partner with stakeholders, including marketing and customer success teams, to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across user touchpoints.
- Represent the design team in discussions with executives and other departments, providing insights into design strategies and progress.
Design Process and Delivery
- Lead the team in creating user research plans, conducting usability tests, and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Oversee the delivery of design artifacts such as wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and user journey maps, ensuring high standards of quality and alignment with project goals.
- Ensure timely delivery of design outputs that support product discovery and delivery phases while addressing customer needs and business goals.
- Monitor and optimize design workflows and processes to improve efficiency and collaboration within the team and across departments.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging the team to experiment with new tools, methods, and techniques.
- Drive initiatives to improve the user experience and ensure the company’s products remain competitive and aligned with user expectations.
- Foster knowledge-sharing within the design team and across the organization to elevate the importance of design thinking and user-centered practices.
Requirements:

- Effectively leads and manages the design team, overseeing recruitment, mentoring, and professional development of designers.
- Organizes and delegates tasks efficiently to ensure multiple projects are delivered on time and at a
high standard. - Fosters a team culture that encourages creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
Design Expertise
- Applies user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and interaction design to create
effective product experiences. - Develops and maintains design systems that ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with
product strategy. - Conducts user research and usability testing, translating insights into clear, actionable design
improvements. - Demonstrates strong design leadership through a portfolio showcasing high-quality work and
impactful design contributions.
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicates design concepts clearly, presenting ideas effectively to stakeholders and advocating
for design decisions. - Works closely with Product Managers and Technology leaders to align design efforts with business
and technical needs. - Represents the design team in leadership discussions, contributing to strategic decision-making across the organization.
Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving
- Aligns design objectives with business goals and user needs, ensuring a balance between
aesthetics, usability, and technical feasibility. - Identifies opportunities for design innovation and proactively solves challenges to enhance product
experience and value.
